As a mother to two elementary students in Leander ISD, I know what it means to be a family that needs something different from their school. That personal experience drives my commitment to empowering educators and parents and making sure every child has someone in their corner.
As a psychologist, I have also spent my career working with kids, families, and educators by supporting students who needed extra help, partnering with schools to build systems that work for every learner, and helping train professionals who serve children and communities. I have seen what works, what doesn't, and what happens when kids don't get the support they need early enough. I also understand that supporting educators, working collaboratively, and making data-informed decisions are essential for success.
Before joining the Board, I supported LISD by volunteering through the PTA, serving on site-based committees, and serving as Advocacy Chair of the Special Programs Advisory Council Executive Board. I worked alongside special programs and special education administrators to gather meaningful feedback from families, strengthen support for students, and collaborated with community partners to help parents feel more informed and empowered.
As a board-appointed Trustee since November 2025, I have advocated for the needs of diverse learners, meaningful family engagement, and community partnerships. I have seen how much this district genuinely cares about getting it right for kids, and I want to be part of continuing that work at the board level.
